You are no longer limited to two-dimensional combat on the ground, players in Aion can fly.

Imagine combat on a massive scale where attacks can come from any direction.

Before the Tower of Eternity was destroyed and the world devastated, the inhabitants of Atreia enjoyed the immense freedom of flight.

After a renewed conflict with the Balaur split the world, the isolated factions of the Elyos and the Asmodians lost numerous capabilities and inherent powers, including flight.

Many believed the ability to fly had been lost forever.

After centuries of isolation, broken pieces of Aion began to hover in the air and the two factions discovered gateways into the region of space between the split sections of the world.

Soon after, the factions rediscovered the ability of flight when they ascended as Daevas.

While the ability of flight is limited in their own lands, they discovered that mastering flight was a necessity in the Abyss.

Aerial combat is one of Aions new and unique dynamics which offers many new possibilities.

Players can engage in three-dimensional combat in the Abyss, and must take into consideration attacks from any direction.

Control of resources and territory will be important aspects in relation to the Abyss.

Wing designs will be as unique as your imagination will allow, while independent flight will serve as an integral part of the Aion experience.
